Napping

A fawn was spotted napping next to a headstone marked "Unknown U.S. Soldier" on Wednesday in Andersonville National Cemetery in Georgia.

(That soldier wasn't unknown, this little fawn knew who he was and knew what he needed.  Maybe that should stand as a reminder for us.  The next time we go and visit our loved ones, we look for a grave marked unknown or go to the pauper section of the cemetery and visit for a minute or two.  Let these poor souls know they mattered, they are missed.)  Kathleen Bartkowiak Martinico

Memorial Day 2020

"We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.  We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing."

Panther, Mountain Lion, Cougar

Johnathan Santos was going through his security cam DVR and found this shot.  He said I thought panthers didn't exist in Louisiana.

The Panther
The panther is like a leopard,
Except it hasn't been peppered.
Should you behold a panther crouch,
Prepare to say Ouch.
Better yet, if called by a panther,
Don't Anther.

Gone Fishing

I went fishing this past Sunday at my Granddaughter's country home at their lake and had a memorable time.  Did not get a fish but it was great to be in the wild and wonderful Mississippi outdoors!
